Kendall P. Stanger
June 28th, 1920 - April 25th, 2005
The Mega Reunion of 2024 is dedicated to a very
special person who touched the lives of so many people, not just from Lynbrook
High School, but throughout the community of what once was called the Valley of
Delight. That person is Kendall
P. Stanger.
Ken Stanger not only served as Lynbrook's first
Principal from 1965 -1977, but he also had a lengthy history within the Fremont
Union High District as an administrator, Educator, and Coach, dating back to
1947. Mr. Stanger was like a candle; it consumes itself to light the way for
others. Everything he touched, he made better and brighter. He did this through
his knowledge and wisdom.
For those of us who knew Mr. Stanger, I think it's safe
to say, " We were changed for the better" I can only say " Once in a lifetime,
and sometimes not even realizing it let alone appreciating it, you get to meet
someone special like Ken Stanger. I was one of those people and like so many
others before and after me, you made a difference, we will forever be grateful.
William A. Ward once said " The mediocre educator tells, the good educator
explains, the superior educator demostrates, the great educator inspires.
Please enjoy this video presented by Roger Stanger to celebrate a man who made a difference in the lives he touched.
