Reunion Planning Basket
Raffle I'm trying to organize a raffle with proceeds going to the Lynbrook Athletic Department. The concept of the raffle is simple and a way for us to give back to our school. It is my belief that through sports, our youth learn team work and accountability. Staying active in sports also helps keep our kids healthy and out of trouble. I'm looking for 1 Volunteer from each Graduating Class, from 1968 to 1979. These volunteers will represent & coordinate donations from their classmates for a Silent Auction at next years Mega Reunion. Each class will pick a theme, for their basket or baskets. Then classmates from that year will donate items pertaining to that theme. The Class Representative can work together with others from their class to contact their classmates and gather donations. Trust me, this will not be a problem. All items donated will be sent to the Representative from each class. The representative will record each item donated, the name of the classmate or classmates, address and phone number. The representative will keep a master copy of donations and send a copy to me once a month, until we stop taking donation, mid July 2003. A list of the alumni that donated an item will be include in the baskets. A copy of all donations will go to the Steering Committe each month. The baskets will be assembled one week before the reunion in San Jose. Destination to be determined at a later date. One large basket will be given away at the Formal Gala Event. The other baskets at the Picnic. You must be present to win. A designated time for the drawings will be announced. All of the Baskets will be displayed at the Formal Gala Event. Ticket sales will that Night at the formal Event and continue through the the Family Event. Each ticket will cost $1.00. For every $10.00 you spend to buy tickets, you will be given 1 Free ticket that enters you into the Gala Event Combo Basket. I need your help!! So far I have received great response from other Alumni that want to donate items and think this is a great idea. Some will walk away with what I! think will be some great gift baskets. I have already heard one Rep is trying to get Airline tickets to Hawaii for their class basket. Here are the current reps: As you can see their is a big gap. I'm still
